The 21st century brought a brave new world. Divisiveness crumbled social structures. Corruption toppled governments. Denialism ravaged the climate. Resources were squandered. Racial extremism subdivided nations. Fake news confounded the masses.
Finally, there was fear.
The strikes were quick. Cold War bomb drills failed the ignorant as desks, tables, and entire buildings were incinerated in a flash. Nothing was left of the old world. Washington, Moscow, Jerusalem, Beijing, and Mecca vanished.
The devastation was unprecedented. Death ravaged the planet. Such terrible atrocities could mean only one thing…

Out of nothing, we rise.
The People’s Liberation Group (PLG) saved us from the divine deception. The great lie is over and The Institution gave us harmony. Humanity is free. Or is it?
